How embracing an active biking culture creates a better workplace and community

Recent studies by the League of American Bicyclists indicate that 1 million people around the world bike to work each week. The study showed that there was a direct link between exercise and the increase of creativity in the workplace.

Hats off to the City of Miami Beach, with their new Deco bike initiative. Not only does it allow people to bike to work, but also:
• It engages residents and Miami locals to visit the neighborhoods beyond the hotels
• Offers tourists a new way to see the city, integrate and be a part of the community
• Demonstrates the City’s drive to recreate a new type of citizen beyond pedestrian, but active, mobile, and engaging with their neighbors.
Not only is this one of the most effective, and fun, ways of exploring South Beach, but also if you work in the neighborhood, many employers will pay for your monthly subscription to the biking initiative.
